I'm Lauren Scott, a designer, developer, and photographer living and working in Victoria, BC. I make websites, write and edit content, and provide photography services. Whether you are in the market for a good-looking website, clearly written copy, or solid photo-documentation of your latest project, chances are, I can help you with that.
In 2006 I graduated with a degree in Photography from Emily Carr University. I spent the following ten years working at Emily Carr in several capacities, most recently as a Studio Technician within Continuing Studies. My responsibilities included public programming, administration, technical support, and web administration. I helped support Continuing Studies curriculum as well as a dynamic community studio made up of committed artists and designers.
I balanced my day job while maintaining my personal art practice making photography, sculpture, text-based and textile work. I also took on side projects both for myself and others, focusing on web-based artist portfolios, photo-documentation and copy editing.
Working with other creative people on projects that they care about was really satisfying for me, so after leaving Emily Carr University to relocate to Victoria, BC with my partner, Marco and daughter, Francesca, I decided to shift trajectories and focus on web design and development full-time.
